操縱攀樹繩子手藝修剪樹木在國際上已遭到許多國家 翻譯遍及利用，期望藉此攀樹比賽讓從事樹木匠作者、戶外休閒攀樹的從業人員在平安性以及效能性上有所晉升，這將有助於臺灣與國際手藝彼此接軌。(本次競賽為臺灣第一次攀樹錦標賽，遵循ITCC 世界攀樹錦標賽之規範並吻合美國ANSI標準)

籌備的過程，經由了陸續幾年前去香港及新加坡觀摩亞太攀樹錦標賽、香港攀樹錦標賽及新加坡攀樹錦標賽等ISA年度國際賽事，都市林協會(台灣ISA分會)在客歲也第一次派出台灣選手前去美國列入世界攀樹錦標賽，積累了許多籌備競賽的經驗，台灣終於可以舉行競賽了！

The purposes of the competition are to popularize the tree climbing and lift the techniques of tree climbing and the standard of safety.
